    try.....catch

    Hi,

    Would anyone mind sharing under what circumstances are we suppose to use "try" and "catch"?

    Thanks for the note.

    There is no hard fast rule when to use it I could exactly point too. Only thing I would suggest is using it when you suspect some code could fail. For example, when you access a file on the hard drive. There are about 100 different things that could happen that does not allow you to access the text file to write to it(File permissions/HD failure/IO failure/another file is already accessing it/etc). When there is possibility of failure its a good idea to use try catch blocks.

    Also, you may try reading up on the web on it since this is not a NinjaTrader specific item, rather a c# programming concept.
