text file import problem with time

I am trying to import a text file for historical data, using minute bars. But I am getting mixed up because the time stamp isnt corresponding.

Example, on the help is say the format is

    The format is:
    yyyyMMdd HHmmss;open price;high price;low price;close price;volume

    Sample data:
    20061023 004400;1377.25;1377.25;1377.25;1377.25;86
    20061023 004500;1377.25;1377.25;1377.25;1377.25;27

When I use my data, with

    20111018 020000;2285.00;2286.00;2283.00;2286.00;2004
    20111018 020100;2285.00;2286.00;2282.00;2282.00;608
    20111018 020200;2282.00;2284.00;2282.00;2283.00;240
    20111018 020300;2284.00;2284.00;2282.00;2282.00;457
    20111018 020400;2283.00;2284.00;2281.00;2283.00;448
    20111018 020500;2283.00;2283.00;2281.00;2281.00;318
    20111018 020600;2282.00;2284.00;2282.00;2283.00;593
    20111018 020700;2283.00;2284.00;2282.00;2284.00;120

for 2am, I get price plotted at 20:00

any help, do I need to delete the 0 for 2am

    Thanks

    Hello,

Can you please clarify what time zone this data was exported using? When importing, what time zone was selected?

What time zone is your PC clock set to?

I look forward to assisting you further.

i exported a eurostox contract. Local time is EST on my computer... I selected 24/7 as the time template assuming that if there are no data points for prices not in the text file it won't matter.. perhaps this is where I am erring. I think I selected using computer time on the import option.

Any idea. I really appreciate it

        Hello,

If this data was exportd from NinjaTrader, it will be exported using UTC.

When importing that data, please make sure that it is set to use UTC time, rather than your local PC clock time.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

thanks ... the problem was with the timestamps. Since I am in EST, the timestamp for the eurostoxx open is 2am (local) or 6am in Europe. When I export the file the timestamp has to start at 6am and then NT converts it into my local time (which I didnt know)

so have to actaully change the UTC,.. no big problem.. thanks though
