    Export Taking Across Unwanted Indicators

    Hi

I'm doing an export of 3 indicators I have. The latest export I did failed at the customer end with the following error:

This is odd because my indicators are called JTSTape, JTRTape & JTSTapeDepth

I did another export & I downloaded 9Rays decompiler to see what was in the DLL created. Whilst I cannot see the "VOL" indicator, I can see a whole host of other stuff that I am not using:

I have no idea why the ADX, Jurik and Woodies stuff is appearing there as none of it is referenced in my indicators.

Any idea what is happening here & how to prevent this import error?

    Thanks

    Pete

    Hello Pete,

Can you please clarify what version you exported with? What version is the client using?

The error you posted is likely due to conflicting versions.

I am using the latest version of NinjaTrader.

There is no conflict because the information above comes from the export file. Nobody has imported it.

      Thanks

Peter, this would be how the referencing environment works - your references used would be included in the exported file - this is precisely the reason why we recommend exporting from a clean setup without any custom dll's loaded. What NT7 version are you and the customer using here?

There is no customer here. I am doing an export and then simply looking at what was exported. This is not looking at the PC on the import side, this is looking at the export file itself.

I have a clean environment, there are no custom DLLs loaded.

I basically have my code, then I have my own DLLs which do not reference any of this stuff. I export and it takes across a bunch of other things that were not requested.

Pete, it would not matter if the DLL referenced the other items or not - they would be included as all references are always included here - this would be expected. If you would like me to reproduce and look into on our end please contact me with the files needed at support at ninjatrader dot com.
