Chart Window propserties

Hi,

1. is there a way to get the name of a chart window into a custom indicator? I'd like to include it into the alert message so that I can identify which chart an alert is coming from.

2. I'd also like to flash the chart with the alert and pop it into the foreground on the desktop if its possible.

davel, the first part is possible with the Bars Period Id and Value properties in NinjaScript :

Thanks for the reply. But I don't see how Bars Period Id returns the name of the chart window. Is there a better example?

davel, I'm not sure what you mean by window name : if you mean instrument then please use the Instrument.FullName as well in your message - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...t_fullname.htm
