upgraded Ninja now strategies gone, help please

I upgraded Ninja and all my strategies are gone, this really sucks. Is there any way to recover them. Looks like big mistake to leave esignal. this will cost me months of down time.

Hello,

NinjaTrader will never delete any settings when doing an upgrade.

Could be you have a NinjaScript error that needs to be resolved and once this is resolved everything will come back. This is because NijaTrader compiles all indicators together and if one has an issue everything has an issue.

Please follow the instructions below to see where the errors are coming from after compiling the indicator. This will allow you to debug the indicator/strategy or remove it from your PC. If you are wondering why you receive an error when compiling only one indicator, it is because NinjaTrader compiles all indicators and strategies- not just one.

Open NinjaTrader
From the Control Center select the Tools menu--> select the Edit NinjaScript menu item--> select Indicator
Select an indicator and double click on it.
A new window will appear and you will need to right click in the window and select Compile to compile the indicators.
At the bottom of the window a new section will appear were you can find the error locations.
From there you have the option to remove the indicator or debug it.

Let me know what errors are listed here or take a screenshot. To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

Can't quite see the error in the error column as it gets cut off. If you double left click on the error where does it take you.

Is this indicator you call Two, is it one that you use or can we delete it?

right but when you double click on it should open the file with a section highlighted where the error is. If still not understanding what needs to be fixed please expand out the error column and take another screenshot.

I can see the scrips when i go to strategies, should i remove ninja and redownload

No, a redownload will not resolve the issue. The issue is in your custom script not in NinjaTrader.

Please delete this custom script and then recompile if you do not know how to resolve the compile error in your script.

To do this go to control center->tools->edit NinjaScript->strategies->then delete the strategy named Two.

Now go back in and recompile the indicators. Is the error now gone?

thanks that was the fix
