    renaming a moving average ?

    I have a user variable, MA_Period, and in my code I am constantly accessing EMA(MA_Period)[#]. I would like to shorten this.

    But I am tired of writing EMA(MA_Period). Is there a way to do something like

    xMA = EMA(MA_Period)

    Then I could access xMA[3] to get the value of EMA(MA_Period)[3].

    Is there a way to do this?

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hello,

    Thanks for the forum post!

    You would need to create a data series to set this too.

    Please see this guide on how to do this:

    Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
