conversion tool

Hello,
Does Ninjatrader have any plans to implement a conversion tool for indicators such as OEC has that offers the ability to import and convert EasyLanguage indicators into there Platform?

Thank you for your post.

I'm not aware of any immediate plans to implement a conversion tool for other programming or scripting languages, however I believe this is on our development team's list of future features.

I will check with development to get a tracking ID for this feature request and give you and updates once I've heard back.

We spent a considerable amount of time developing an Easy Language to NinjaScript converter and it turned out not to be feasible thus this was dropped. Although we have converters as a tracked feature requested, I don't see us spending any resources in this area in the foreseable future.

Curious as to how you define feasible.

It was not feasible since we could not achieve high conversion rate percentage since the programming concepts between EL and NinjaScript are completely different and the translated code was too cryptic that even if you were to get near 100% translation, it would bee to difficult to understand the actual generated translated code.
