can't start a strategy in 7

Hello,
I just downloaded NT 7 and I can't pull up any strategies. The chart says the strategy is running and the Data Series box shows TextandMarker = true, but no trades are showing. Can anyone help?

I'm not sure what you may be seeing. Can you please clarify what the exact issue is:
Strategy doesn't accept enabled? - goes from Enabled > Disabled right away.
Orders not placed when you expect?
Trade executions are not visible?

Sorry for being so unspecific. The trade executions are not visible. The chart shows at the top left corner that the strategy has been initiated, but the trade executions are not visible. Also the log makes no reference to the strategy being initiated. In 6.5 the log always showed that the strategy had been initiated. So the

Is it an ATM-based strategy? These will not show executions for the chart that the strategy is applied to. If this is the case, you can create an additional chart with ChartTrader enabled to monitor orders and fills.

Does the strategy show Enabled when viewed through the Right Click > Strategies screen?

Are you verifying that orders are placed by the strategy, using through the control center?

The strategy screen does show enabled. In the Control Center the strategy tab shows the strategy, but there are no executions.
Also I'm not using my own strategy currently. I realized it might be programmer error so I tried all the "in the box from NT7" strategies and they are not working either.

Ok, I discovered how to "start" the strategy. I'm just curious to know if I'll have to do this every time in NT7 or if there's a bug somewhere. 1st I initiated the strategy on the chart by right clicking Strategies, chose my strategy by double clicking it, chose ok. (Those were the steps I'd follow with 6.5) That should have brought the strategy up on the chart. The next step is new. I had to go to the Control Center, choose the Strategy tab and check Enabled. Finally I see trades on the screen. Is this something I'll have to do every time I start a strategy in NT7?

Yes, strategies must be enabled. They can be enabled from the control center or the chart's right click > Strategies screen.

Ok so how do I enable a strategy from the Strategy screen? As in I showed in my previous post, what I did before was select the strategy either by selecting New and OK or double clicking the strategy and OK. In 6.5 this would enable the strategy. I do not see any other way to enable the strategy on the NT7 Strategy screen and yet this procedure did not enable my strategy until I selected "Enable" in the Strategy tab in Control Center.

Set Enabled = true in the strategies properties. If it has a (D) next to it on the chart it's disabled. You're right -- This is new in 7. Please review the link below for help running a strategy from a chart.

Ok " when all else fails read the instructions" they say. I read the "Running a NinjaScript strategy in a chart". I see now were I have to choose enable. Seems like an unnecessary step. Sorry to waste your time, but thanks for the help.
