    Market Analyzer - How to screen for SMA moving up

    Does anyone know if it is possible to set the market analyzer to screen for sma moving up. The only way to filter/alert is to set a specific static value. I want an alert to fire if SMA is greater than the SMA of the previous bar. Do I have to create some sort of Boolean indicator to use in the Analyzer or is there another alternative?

    Hi ShruggedAtlas,

    You can do this with a custom indicator script. Set a plot value of 1 when your condition is true and 0 otherwise. You can then set filters or alerts for when the indicator value = 1.

    if (Rising(SMA(14)))
    Value.Set(1);

    else
    Value.Set(0);

      Outstanding! I was beginning the process of coding an indicator when you came along and showed me a better way. Looked up the Rising function after you suggested it That one's going to be very handy. Thank you very very much!
