MTF: can primary serie be same as secondary serie?

    Hello.

Tell me please, can primary data-serie (in multy-timeframe indicator or strategy) be same to one of the secondary series?

For example, if I want to make indicator, wich values must be independent of primary serie.

My practice evidence, this can cause unstable results.

Are you talking about the same exact instrument with the same exact timeframes? If so, what is the secondary data series for? If you are using different timeframes, everything should work fine. Can you please post the evidence you've seen that shows unstable results?

As I see now, my problem not in same time frames, but, I still need help.

I made indicator, that calculates direction of trend at current bar (Mono.cs) and write it on chart.

Then I made another Indicator (Integral.cs), that call Mono.cs 4 times and write on chart direction of trend of 4 currency pairs (EURGBP, EURUSD, GBPJPY, USDJPY).

When I started thread, both indicators changes values when scrolling chart from left to right. But Integral.cs did it only if primary dataserie wasn't one of secondary (EURGBP, EURUSD, GBPJPY, USDJPY).

Now, Integral.cs stop change it's values if scrolling. Now it show only values for last bar on chart.

Please look at attach - there are some sequential screenshots, that illustrate process of scrolling.

      Mono.cs (bottom) change it's values, Integral.cs - don't.

I want to pay your attention, that, in first moment after applying Integral.cs to chart, it show values for last visible bar (as Mono.cs), but, in half-second, it show only values for last bar on chart.

Please, look in attach - I made screen video and some screenshots of this video to illustrate this.

Please, tell me: can I make Integral.cs to redraw eash bar (like Mono.cs do)? I need it for debuging - indicator is complex enough.

P.S. Can I You please, change title of the thread to "Multy instrument indicator: redrawing DrawTextFixed() offline"

Thank you for the screenshots, fx.practic. Unfortunately I'm not sure what you are seeing or expecting to see. Can you please share a simple script and steps needed to see the issue? It looks like you are applying the script and then scrolling back.

Yes. I am applying the script and then scrolling. But, I am scrolling forward.

Mono-instrument indicator changes text when scrolls.

Multy-instrument indicator doesn't change text when scroll.

How cam I make Multy-instrument indicator change text when scroll?

Hello fx.practic, this is unfortunately a known limitation you've run into here as MultiSeries indicator will process all bars up to the most current / loaded bar (not depending on scroll position), which is different from single series ones.
