    Import / Export strategies

There are a few strategies that I forgot to export out of NT 6.5 back when I did the migration. I want to use parts of these now. The reason I have the NT 6.5 strategy files is from a very old HDD backup archive.

My machine is running Win 7 with SP1 already installed.

My thought this morning was to install NT 6.5 again, export the strategies that I missed and then import them into NT 7.

The download page is telling me that NT 6.5 isn't compatible with WIN 7 SP1. Is there any way around this? Will cut and paste into a new strategy work?

    Thanks in advance.

Why not just copy the strategy cs files to the correct location in your NT7 installation?

I think there are small differences in code that get compensated for when the import / export is done.

For example in the Properties section, instead of [Category("Parameters")]
      that 6.5 has, 7's syntax is [GridCategory("Parameters")].

I don't know if little things like this matter (since I'm not a very advanced programmer), but I don't want to go arounnd hunting for errors.

8DTK8, that is the main difference. Koganam's suggestion is what I would also suggest. As soon as you try compiling, the errors will pop up and you can correct them. If you exported -> imported, the indicators wouldn't even import if errors were present.
