tagging an exit

Hello,
I would like to tag certain exit orders in my strategy as part of a reentry condition for future orders. I'm wondering if simply setting a bool flag on those particular exits would do the trick or is there something else more involved?

It really depends how you want to use the exit as a condition. I would take a look at the built in function BarsSinceExit().

That tells you the number of bars that has passed since an exit or a specific exit.
