    What means "Current Bar"?

    Hi Ninjatraders,

    please help a non-programmer

    What does the following code snippet exactly mean :

    if (CurrentBar < 12) return;

    Is "current bar" the close of the current bar??

    Thanks in advance...

    In short, its the a reference to the current bar being processed by the OnBarUpdate() method. For example, if you had only 10 bars on your chart, OnBarUpdate() will be called for each bar starting with the left most bar. This bar is number zero, and will increment by one for the next bar until it reaches the 10th bar which would be current bar is 9.

    from the help guide - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...currentbar.htm

    So the code condition you pasted means "Return out of this method if the bar is less than 12" in other words, don't start process additional code until you have seen 12 bars.
