How To for external Indi

Hi,

does anybody have something like a "how to" for developing and depoying your own indis?

My special problem is, that I want to integrate an indicator which need quite a lot of external DLL. Is there an good way to do this. And a way to prepare such an indi for others?

Martin, unfortunately we do not have such a guide. You'll have to add each .dll as a reference to your indicator and then go from there. Using external assemblies is unsupported.

Hi,

I see it's very efficient and easy to write a simple indicator.

But, in my special case I try to use Classes from an external DLL. And, furthermore, I write my own Class, lets say MartinClass which in Visual Studio (Using the Custom Project) I create in Utils, so the namespace automatically ist "NinjaTrader.Custom.Utils".

When trying to compile this indi again in NT it fails, the namespace can not be resolved. When I put my class into the original file (same as the NT indi) I can compile it, but using it as a Indicator in a graph I get the errormessage "unable to retrieve type ..."

What can I do to preceed?

Martin, unfortunately we don't support development of external assemblies with Visual Studio - it is more of a general C# issue than a NinjaTrader specific issue.
