    Slope() ?

    Can someone please explain NT's version of slope versus a tradition angle... I have read many backposts but a little confused...

    Trying to use it on an EMA I can take 2 charts that look similar but one will register a value of +25 slope and the other +2 slope... Is the difference some form of volatility? The one with the larger slope value simply moved a further % from price on the bar then the other even though the angle appears identical??

    Thanks for any help understanding this,
    R.T.

    Hello RT,

    Slope is rise over run. Y2 - Y1 / X2 - X1.

    The x difference uses the number of bars specified.

    You may want to check out this indicator on our forums. It provides some options for working with slope and converting to other values.

      Thanks Ryan, I have been using the slope box indicator... seems to have a different value system and just not sure what it means...
