Connecting a script to SQL Server

When connecting to SQL Server, where would the Connect code go?

Would it go in Initialize() or in OnBarUpdate() but only executed the first time in?

Likewise, where would the Disconnect code go? The connection need to be dropped when the script is terminating...

    Thanks

    Hello TurtleTrader,

This is outside scope of NinjaTrader support, but one of our members put together a sample and guide. It's available here:

Thanks...though that script appears to open and close the DB connection each time there is a data point. I am looking for a persistent connection to reduce all that overhead.

If I rephrase the question, perhaps there is an answer...

"Is there a user-usable method that is triggered when the script is terminating?" I can put the disconnect code there.

Thanks for the reply. Sure, there is OnTermination()
