Dividends accessible in indicator/ strategy?

Is there a way to "see" within an indicator or strategy when a share goes ex-dividend and how much?

I'm afraid this is not what I need. What I mean is that I want to access the historical dividend information that NT uses to do dividend adjustment on shares when selected. NT "knows" this information because it is stored somewhere (after downloading from a supplier like Yahoo).

Thanks for clarifying - this info is unfortunately not accessible programmatically with NS.

Is there then another way to do it? For example, if only I could generate a table with ex-dividend dates and the amount of dividend for each instrument (like the table that I see when I press the "splits and dividends" button in the Instruments Manager), then I can program a lookup table by myself. This can even be an eternal file that I read, no problem for me. Only problem is: how can I generate such a table from NT's database?

You can for sure read the info from a file in NinjaScript / C#, however you could not extract that data from the database unfortunately, you would need to look for it on Yahoo Finance or other services yourself and work it in.

I would like to ask the same question again, because perhaps (I hope) some functionality has been added to NT in the mean time:

Is it somehow possible to access the ex-dividend dates and amounts of dividend paid from the NT database from an indicator or strategy? Or if this is not possible, is there ANY way to extract this data from the NT database such that I can write it to a file? I can then just read that file with my indicator.

Please advice how to access the dividend info that is present in the Instrument manager!

Unfortunately no new input I could point you to here firefly. Accessing this info directly from the database could not be supported, however I will make sure to note this request on our product enhancement tracking lists.
