HIstorical Data Options?

I would like to know what are some of the best historical data sources that traders have successfully used in NinjaTrader.

Are there special things to consider?

Does it have to be in a specific format fo facilitate better, more optimal backtesting?

I am looking for futures minute data going back to at least 2000.

Would this be the optimal way to go?

Are there questions that I need to ask the vendor prior to purchasing?

Main consideration here is that the data you're purchasing can be imported successfully into NinjaTrader. Data format and import instructions are available here:

Yes, I am aware of that. But are there any other considerations?

The link I provided in my original post sells data for under $170.00,

I have seen other data up to $10,000

Is there any difference?

Unfortunately this is outside our scope of support. Hopefully other community members can offer input on what to expect when purchasing historical data. You may get better results posting to a general trading community and listing the data vendors you're interested in so you can get specific feedback.
