Need some advice

Hi,
(1) I've created my custom indicator where I've set a parameter "private int factor = 10; " within the "Variables" section.The problem is that the factor value used is subject to the instrument I called.(eg: for CL : factor = 10, GC : factor = 15, 6E; factor =30, etc.)
(2) I need some advice how could I do something when I called any instrument it will automatically select the factor value I desired? Thanks.

Hello K.Sato,

You can declare the variable initially in variables region but don't have to assign a value.

The earliest you can access Instrument Name is in OnStartup()

You can then assign the value based on the instrument name within this method.
