bollinger bands

Hi,

I like to calculate the diffetence in price of the upper and lower bollinger bands. and I would like to see that value in the data box but not on the chart.

As far as I understand the data box only shows the value from plots. Is it posible to nullify the plot on the chart but still see the value in the data box?

Hello Ccowl1,

Correct. In order to view the value in the data window, it must be a plot. Your best bet in this case is setting the indicator plot color to be the same as your chart background color.

yes I tried that but since the value is so little (upper ban-Lower band) the chart shrinks to show that plot. Is there anyways to adjust the scale of the chart then? because lets say I have upper at 1.5100 and the lower one at 1.4900. the differnce is 0.0100 and that is wayy under the current level of the market..so I can't read the chart.

Yes, you can set scale justification to "Overlay" and it will use a scale independent of other indicators or prices. This property can be hard coded or you can set in the indicator gui.
