    Using Instrument.x in other class

    I have a public class X which needs to use Instrument.MasterInstrument.Round2TickSize(). This does not work as the class is not derived from Strategy. Class X is instantiated in OnStartUp and methods are called from OnBarUpdate.

    I came up with is something like
    Code:
    X.setval(Instrument.MasterInstrument.Round2TickSize(X.getval));
    Sadly this is not really elegant, as the code in the class should really be seperated in terms of OOP.

    How can I make it work in a better way? There can't be 2 classes derived from Strategy, right?

    Any help is very much appreciated!

    Maybe using the code in from this thread is the solution:

      Yes, you could use the custom code presented in the other thread in your class, however Round2TickSize would work in an indicator as well - couldn't you just call it from such to work with?
