Kase bars are pretty similar to range bars, there are just two noteworthy differences:

-> instead of the simple range the true range is used for building the bars
-> the Kase bars do not fill gaps with fake data

On intraday charts it is difficult to notice a difference for liquid instruments, see chart attached below.
