    Using COM Interop in NinjaScript

    Hi,

    I have a COM object (SnagIt) I'd like to use in NinjaScript.

    I've used the Visual Studio .Net tool tlbimp (from version 2003 to make sure it is supported by NT) to create the Interop assembly SNAGITLib.dll (note - naming is important). I placed SNAGITLib.dll first in

    ...My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\Custom

    and then

    ...C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin

    I restarted NT so that it would recognize the assembly. However, the line of code:

    using SNAGITLib;

    fails in my strategy code - it can't seem to find it. Given that the assembly is there, does anyone have insight as to why this doesn't seem to work? It might be possible to manually reference the COM object, but that coding is a real pain to do

    Thanks,

    Gordon

    Gordon, custom DLL files should sit in the bin > custom folder, after restart of NT add a reference to this DLL then in the NinjaScript editor - right click in the code > References > Add.

      That's it all right! Thanks, Bertrand.
