Brokerage Account Balances - Variable Names - TD Ameritrade

    Hello:

I have reviewed the thread (http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ead.php?t=5474) for determining what account information is provided by different brokerages. According to this thread TD Ameritrade provides the following account information:

    TD Ameritrade
    Values exclude commissions
    Buying Power
    Cash Value
    Realized PnL

What are the variable names associated with these 3 account balances?

Also, is there a SamplePositionSizer code available within NT using above variables (e.g., like IntrabarBacktest, SampleOnOrderUpdate, etc.)? These sample codes are a great help to me!

    Thanks.

    Tony

    Tony,

Please note that accessing account values is not supported in NT6.5. In NT7 you can use this: http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG...countvalue.htm

Unfortunately we do not have any position sizer type sample. This would be dependent on what you want to do with your position sizing. You can take a certain size and multiply it by some percentage and do some math to figure out how many contracts/shares you want to buy based off of that.

      Get Account Values

Thanks Josh. I guess I'll download NT7 beta. Any idea when NT7 will be out of beta testing?

        tonyh,

Unfortunately I have no time estimate I can provide you with.

Does the public beta imply you are getting close to a release date? When beta 6 went public, how long after was it before the final release?

It's getting confusing now that the forum is supporting both the beta and the outdated release.

            borland,

We are getting closer to a production release. Historically the beta process lasts for several months.

I know Josh, but I was asking about the public beta. Normally there is no public beta. I'm just saying the public beta is a bit confusing.

                borland,

I am not sure what you mean. Public betas are pretty common place for software. Historically, public betas of NT have lasted for several months.

Several more months. Thanks, that's what I was asking.
