How do you access price information of an ETF/index while trading on another equity?

I want my automated trading strategy to make decision based on a particular equity (i.e. GOOG) based on some price information of a pariticular ETF (i.e. SPY). How do I access price information of SPY while making buy/sell decision of GOOG?
