Linking to Excel

Hello all,

I am new to NinjaTrader and have been reading this forum to better understand the capabilities of this platform. Thanks to all those that post and to those that answer others' questions. I have learned a lot from this forum.

At any rate, I am interested in linking Ninja Trader to Excel. From my reading, I believe I have to use the COM or DLL method to do so, but I am not really familiar with this. All I really need to do is have Excel pull Last Price for the products I am trading. Am I correct that I have to use the DLL or COM method to do this? Unfortunately, maybe because of my limited understanding of programing, but I am not really sure what I need to do within VB. I understand that this is not "supported" by NinjaTrader's support staff, but is there some tutorial or an example (for Excel) that shows how to do so? It doesn't even have to be related to Last Price, just something to get me going in the correct direction. I am sure from there I can figure out how to pull the fields I am interested in.

In one of the screenshots you can see Last for last prices. That is what you want to use. You could try google for tutorials on general programming with Excel's VB.
