    BarColor with RSI

    This should be so simple, but I can't make it work. I want to make the bars color when ever the RSI is outside a given value. For example:

    If (CurrentBar <5)
    return;
    If (RSI(5) <20)
    BarColor = Color.Yellow;
    else if (RSI(5) >80
    BarColor = Color.Cyan;
    return;

    I keep getting messages about not being able to use the RSI with the 20 or 80.

    I'd appreciate your help.

    Richard, you would need to compare a double value from the RSI series to the threshhold, so try accessing the RSI with RSI(5, 1)[0] in your snippet.

    Also the RSI method needs a min of 2 parameters passed in, in my above snippet the first is the length, the second the smoothing.

    In addition, you want to use a lowercase for the 'if'....

      Thanks. Thought I had tried some of that, but guess not.

      Got it going fine and appreciate the help.
