Problem with Math.Truncate

This error is given with the code below:
"Cannot implicitly convert type 'double' to 'int'. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?)"


double mOHour = Mar****pen / 100;
intMtkOpen = Math.Truncate(mOHour);

Any idea why mOHour is not accepted as an input for Math.Truncate?

Check the return type of Math.Truncate and make sure you are assigning it to a proper object type.

Math.Truncate returns a double. Try

double mktOpen = Math.Truncate(mOHour);

You could also try Math.Floor();

Thanks. I thought Math.Truncate returned an int.

What method converts a double to int?

I believe you can cast it as such,

int mktOpen = (int)Math.Truncate(mOHour);
