How to setup simple sound alert for closing price?

Hi,

I need to be notify when the close price for a candle bar is higher than the previous bar's closing price. How do i setup a sound alert for this?

The same goes when i need to be notify when the close price for the current bar is lower than the previous bar's closing price. Anyone can help?

You can do this through programming a custom indicator and using PlaySound().

if (Close[0] > Close[1])
     PlaySound(...);

For the other condition you can do the reverse.

if (Close[0] < Close[1])
     PlaySound(...);

If you want you can also use Alert() to get an alert into the NinjaTrader Alerts window.

[velocity]

if (Close[0] > Close[1])
PlaySound(@"C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 6.5\sounds\Alert1.wav");

you can also program a pop up window Alert as well
