    programming question

    hello,

I'm creating a new indicator which is plot in a separate panel, I want to know if I can fix the Y scale and how to do it? This indicator only take values from 1 to -1 and I want the Y axis show only and alway that range only.

I also have another question, I tested the indicator in a chart window connected to a real time data source, and when I scroll the chart horizontally I loss the indicator lines, what could be happening?

    thanks in advance

        telbentel,

I guess I do not fully understand what you are experiencing. If you could put up a few screenshots that would help. Thank you.

I think he means the common 'flatlining' problem. Scale interference.

Flatlining happens when you add an indicator to a panel with a scale outside the normal range of the indicator. For instance, if you added a MACD and an SMA together into the same panel, because the SMA could have values in the hundreds while the MACD would be near 0 and 1. To show both in the same panel you end up with very squished lines as NT tries to create a scale to allow for both indicators.

Multiple scales and overlaying will be available in NT7.
