How can I tell that Market Replay is active or stopped?

I would like to know when the player is being started and stopped.
Are there any events I can hook to?

Eitan, unfortunately there's no event or method for this - you could try setting a custom input to a certain setting when you're in replay mode with your indicators / strategy.

I would work something out, there isn't even some property to indicate that we are in simulation mode?

I am extracting data into files for analysis with excel and wanted each play to be kept in a file name with the time of the session and number of ars.

Another usuful thing, I think it could be helpfull for vendor who wants to allow trial usage only on market replay.
