Is it possible to adjust a chart's zoom from code?

To other senior/curious forum members, has anyone else pursued this?
I found the VerticalScale indicator (http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/vb/showthread.php?t=6434), which overrides
GetMinMaxValues.

I find no equivalent for horizontal values.
However, there are 2 readonly properties, FirstVisibleBar and LastVisibleBar, which I am successfully using to resize user graphics relative to the horizontal scale.

Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.
