Keyboard Entries to Control Strategy in Real Time

There are occasions when I'd like to control my strategy in real time after it has been started. I can't find any directives that allow the real time entry of parameters to control the strategy's operation using the keyboard.

For example, I might like to terminate a trade in progress outside of the existing logic but using my strategy to do it. I can terminate a trade otherwise from the DOM, but the act also terminates my strategy in NT. However, my code dosn't know that I exited the trade and still holds the position as open.

Is there any keyboard entry capability in NT? Obviously, C# has keyboard specific commands.

Unfortunately this is not possible. You cannot intervene in that manner with a running strategy.

But with Advanced .NET programming is possible.

You can include a custom control in your code (like a command button). Then, when you click the button a custom code is executed.

Here an example with command buttons:



(You could include any type of .NET controls: command button, textboxs, lists, option buttons, etc).
