Openning price and extended session

I would like to compare the current price versus the days opening value.

However, i would just like to deal with the NYSE normal hours, 9:30-4:00pm EST. So how would i find the opening value for the bar at 9:30am? Or is there a way to tell the software, to only use regular hours as its source for bars.

Hi rscott6666, welcome to our support forums! You could set your session times to the regular market hours (double click on the chart and set those in the Chart properies under Session Begin / End).

Thank you, i've already figured the answer out.

i thought i had tried setting the session times and it not doing what i wanted, but i've since noticed that indeed it does the trick. Knowing the getBar function will help as well.
