how to Timeout script

Hello Guys,
Is there a way to timeout script after 30 seconds or so ?
I want to prevent infinite loop from crashing NT .
In PHP we use set_time_limit , So I'm looking for something like that .

You can try this:

private DateTime timeout = DateTime.Now + new TimeSpan(0,0,30);
while(DateTime.Now < timeout) continue;
