plot description

How can I add text below the Plot Name Label in the indicator dialog box? For example I have: Add(new Plot(Color.FromKnownColor(KnownColor.Orange), PlotStyle.Line, "Plot0")); in the indicator code.

So when I right click on a chart and go to the indicator, the Label of the plot will say Plot0. How do I add a description below the Label Plot0 ?

I am not clear where you want the text to show up. Try posting a screen shot and explaining that way.

I believe you cannot add text to that section, whatever you have in quotes when Adding a Plot is what you see.

Yes, you can modify this in the description area near the top of the code in any indicator; however it cannot be changed on the fly. Here is an example:

[Description("write something here")]
publicclass

[velocity]

this is what I got in the properties section:

#region Properties

[Description("write something here ?????????")]
public DataSeries Plot0
{
get { return Values[0]; }

}
[Description("write something here XXXXXXXXX")]
public DataSeries Plot1
{
get { return Values[1]; }
}

is this in the right area? I tried your publicclass but no luck.

You cannot add the Description tag to a plot. That is generally for parameters. You can however do eDanny's suggestion to give it a name.

how about suggesting this for NT7. placing descriptions on the plots can help with knowing some of the details of what it is doing when you have complicated indicators with a series of different plots.
