    Web References

    Hi,

does anyone have experience with using Web References in Ninja Trader? I need to connect to a running service - which runs on the same computer where Ninja does - via proxy. This all is rather straightforward in Visual C# but i can't figure out if and how this is possible in NT.

    Thanks,

    Tomas

    Tomas,

Generally it would be done in the same fashion. Unfortunately this is outside the scope of what we can offer support for though. You can try searching the forums. If memory serves there were a few threads about this before.

      Hi Josh,

it works well now and it was (after a couple of dead ends) rather straightforward. I used wsdl.exe to connect to my proxy and to create a corresponding .cs class. Then i have copied this class to Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\Custom\Type (so that i do not mix it with Indicators and Strategies) and recompiled an indicator. After that i can easily access class and consequently proxy services from within an indicator or a strategy straightaway .

      Cheers,

      Tomas
