how to count open orders (executed)

Hi, is there a way to count executed orders? I mean, when I start the strategy after a crach on PC (for example), but there are already open orders (opened during last session), I need to count how many orders there are and the type (for example the name) for initialize my strategy and avoid that it open new orders: how can I do this?

Hi Bolla,

When you restart your strategy there are no "open" orders. All those old orders will be simulated orders and may not even be shown in the same places as you had them in real-time. Please see the discrepancies between real-time and backtesting. The only possible "open" order to the strategy would be the last order and even that would be a virtual, strategy position. Please see this article about the differences between a strategy position and an account position. So, there is no way to sync Strategy Position with real Accont Position using strategy but only with manual management: is it true?
In NT7 is there this possibility or not?

Nope. If your NinjaTrader has froze it has no way of linking the two together.

About accounts, isn't it impossible to create Sim102 account for example and trade only Long positions on Sim101 account and only short positions on Sim102 account from the same strategy and same instrument? (to simulate 2 separate MBTrading account that not permit hedge)

You cannot run one instance of a strategy on two accounts. You can however run two instances on separate accounts.

When you run a strategy you can only run it on one account. You can run the same strategy multiple times on as many accounts as you want.

You can run them on the strategies tab from the control center. Or from separate charts. You can also do it from one chart. When you add multiple strategies you have the option to choose which Account it runs on. Just select which one you want.
