Passing DataSeries to Function

I have the following code...

value=customfunction(Close);

My function is...

double myfunc(DataSeries price)
{
    some code here.
}

I'm getting the error, "The best overloaded method match for 'NinjaTrader.Indicator.myind.myfunc(NinjaTrader.Da ta.DataSeries)' has some invalid arguments.

{
