Programmatic access to actual positions?

Hi there,

NinjaTrader is aware of my actual, broker-held positions... so, I don't see why that info can also be made available to my strategy? Can we have function calls that gives me access to my actual positions?

I'm just pondering ways to automatically recover if I have a fatal error. It'd be convenient to be able to match up positions.
