Dynamically changing color of custom buttons

I have an indicator that has custom buttons. I have a function that changes the color of the buttons dynamically under certain conditions. when the condition is met the buttons dissappear from view.. I have to reload the ninjascript to get them back and no color change is observed

Are there any errors in the Log tab of the Control Center? You should also use a Dispatcher to access the button object e.g.

if (ChartControl != null)
{
ChartControl.Dispatcher.InvokeAsync((System.Action )(() =>
{
TargetButton.Background = Brushes.Green;
}));
}
