Likely you are accessing a DataSeries in the Values collection that does not exist. Do you have 4 plots added to the indicator in the Initialize() method? Since you are accessing Values[3], this means you must have called Add() 4 times to add new plots which internally generates 4 DataSeries that hold the values for each of the plots.

Thanks for for the prompt reply, and on a Sunday.

You are right - there four Add()s, but the program still fails to plot when a previous values such as Values[3][2] - ie previous close value is referenced.

In the code segment above, the code fails to plot but when Values[3][1] < Values[3][2] is dropped from the program, it plots ok.

Hello,

Try putting if(CurrentBar < 3) return; at the top of your OnBarUpdate() block. The reason I say this is in your original post you have:
if (Values[0][0]>Values[0][1])//Current open>previous open
{BarColor = barColorUp;}

This is referencing a bar in history "[1]" which does not exist yet and it is not included in your CurrentBar if check block.

Yes and the error is:

I would appreciate any input as I am at a loss and reached my programming limitation. Hope you can help.

Did you do as Ben suggested?
The very first code logic should read ...

Code:

if(CurrentBar <= 3)
    return;

I suggest you get rid of the other CurrentBar check as well.

Thank you Anthony. Grateful you came by. Works like a charm - considering its the only indicator I ever wanted. Very grateful.

Side note, are you still going to start the 'Visual Studio ...' development that you talked about elsewhere in the forum. I would like to learn from people like you. It should a great opportunity for people like myself to broaden my programming base.
