Hi guys,

I try to distinguish up trend low trend and lateral movements , for do that i try to measure a body , but is not coherent, because i set a limit of candel body , if candelbody is <= at 0.14 then is lateral movement , but sometime inside lateral movement , have bar at 0.15 or 0.16, and in trend have the same problem but vice versa inside a trend i have some candel with little body , and i could consider like in trend , how is possible resolve this problem , exist some function , for simplify ? gimp

Thank you for the post.

There would not be a specific built in function for what you have described but you can likely solve the problem by using logic and testing. It sounds like you have a calculation already where some cases need to still be included to be a lateral movement. I could suggest using some Prints to identify when that happens to see if potentially increasing the range you set would be an option, for example changing for <= 0.14 to <= 0.16. That will depend on the calculation you made and if the value would also encompass other trends.
