Historical vs Live Trading

I found a snippet of code on this forum that references RealizedProfitLoss and attempts to stop the strategy if there is a certain amount of loss. When I Print the value of the referenced variable it says 0 but then still returns as under -100 in the code and immediately toggles safetyStop to true. I can remove this for now as it isn't officially supported, but I would appreciate any insight as the ability to do this would be very helpful.
