How to program an Alert???

I would like specifics on how to program an audio alert when a certain indicator is painted on the chart. I have tried and the alert sounds but then sounds every second or whatever I put in for rearm. Sounds like a simple thing to do, sound and audio alert when a certain indicator is painted on the chart, not to simple if you don't understand how ninja works.

Hi pinebear,

Welcome to NinjaTrader. To play a sound you can try using PlaySound(). If your condition is only evaluated to true once it will only play the sound once, but if your condition keeps triggering then your sound file will keep playing.

I really need the basic s of what and how to program a sound or set up a strategy using the particular indicator action and producing a sound.
