History - How far back can I load in?

Hello,

In MT4, only data from 1970 can be loaded in.

I was wondering whether Ninjatrader has any limitations in showing data from 1800s for example, and on what timeframes there are limitations if any?

Welcome to forums!

NinjaTrader does not impose any restrictions on data, but your data provider may have data pacing rules or other rules for when large data requests can be made. Limitations in that regard would then be attributed to those broker/data provider rules.

For general charting and scripting purposes, data to load should be at a minimum for faster load times. Having charts that require large amounts of data will take longer to load that data and process it.

It is for a Weekly or Monthly chart so hopefully the load time is not impacted that much.

Huh?

I know the CBOT started in the 1850's ...
But surely you don't care about data going that far back, do you?
