Data Storage Structure ?
I've created some synthetic instruments on NT 7, and done so with reasonable success. Any suggestion as to what is the best structure in which to store that data? (eg, array, SortDictionary<>, DataTable(), etc.) -
Hello spottysallrite,
Thank you for the post.
If you do not need a particular ordering in the data, you could use a HashSet<T>(), it was designed for high-performance set operations. Keep in mind that a set does not hold duplicate items.
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...=vs.110).aspx- -HashSet<T>
If you do need ordering I would say a List<T> which is has a very fast BinarySearch method (because it is already sorted):

Please let me know if I may be of any further assistance.

Hello spottysallrite,
Thanks for the reply.
Your initial suggestions would work just fine as well. I was simply suggesting some of the fastest structures that C# has to offer. Really, any data structure should be fast enough for create/read/update/delete operations of your program.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
