    Hi Bryan,

can do that, also add labels. If you need other contracts or exchanges let me know. But give me some time, I am not yet used to code indicators.

For Current H/L/C you can also use the NT Current OLHC indicator, it should work with the session times that you can set in the chart panel, would have to set session times in your local time there...

      Thanks Harry,
The mid is important in my trading and NTs version doesn't have that. Your indicator has already helped me several times today.

          SessionPivots and OHLC reworked

As Bryan asked for Current OHL, here is a new version of the indicators. Pivots are now being displayed as Daily, Weekly or Monthly Pivots. Current OHL includes Midline and Fibonacci Levels.

          How to use:

          (1) CalcFromIntraday option is only designed for major futures contracts in for the session break that can be entered. This method should not return any lines for other instruments. For timeframes > 30 min, Pivots and OHLC may be inaccurate.

          (2) DailyBars option can be used for any instrument. There is still a small bug that could affect the usability on days after holidays.

          Please report any bugs.

            Thank you so much Harry!

Thank you so much! I can not imagine all the work I had to do everyday to get this Pivots. I appreciate!

            - If you do not have Daily Data, these indicators allow to calculate OHLC and Pivots from Intraday Data using selectable session times for FOREX and 9 major futures markets
            - OHLC and Pivots for FOREX and the futures markets are also displayed according to these session times
            - PriorDay, PriorWeek and PriorMonth OHLC available
            - Includes option to display Midpivots
            - Narrow lines Monday problem solved (OHLC and Pivots were calculated from Sunday Intraday Data in IntraDayCalc Mode)

This indicator should only be used on intraday charts. On daily charts it still produces - as the NT 6.5.9 Pivots Indicator - wrong figures. I will try to find the bug.

            Any further suggestions welcome.

                Harry,
My numbers on Version 3 Prior day O/H/L/C/M don't seem to match the numbers on V2 (which I think are correct) I put both on the same chart and both set to daily bars and they are definitely different.

Is there a code problem or some mistake I am making? On the attached file, the purple and the blue line under it are both prior day mid and as you can see, they are different.

Thanks as always. You are so great.

                Bryan

                  Bryan,
I guess your chart is ER2. Please confirm. For the PriorDay OHLC it is quite easy to check, whether it is displaying all lines correctly - just scroll back the chart and compare.....
I did not find any error on my charts for ER2, but to further check, please tell me
                  - the instrument (confirm)
                  - the period of your chart
                  - the day you encountered the problem
                  - the time of the last bar on the chart (in local time)
                  - the local time zone (your PC settings)

Also try to set the indicators to CalcFromIntradayData, and tell me whether the problem remains. I compared both versions of the indicator for ER2 and got identical results.

                    Everything ok?

Just checked, see chart below. Works as it should... Send me a chart with just one indicator on it, so I can check it.

                      Thanks Harry,
I haven't had a chance to check out my problem yet. But I will.

                        Hi Harry,

                        Quick question:

For Forex use, are Mondays pivots calculated using Friday + Sunday? Or just one or the other. If it is just one, is it possible to build in the option to use both as an extended trading period?

The Sunday evening session is considered to be part of Monday. Pivots shown on Sunday afternoon and Pivots shown on Monday should be the same. They are calculated by using High, Low and Close of the Friday session.

For the calculation I had to choose between the Friday Close (also the Weekly Close) and the Sunday Close. I could not find any reason to take the Sunday Close after two hours of thin trading.... The logic of the indicator can theroetically be changed, but first explain me what the Sunday close should be good for....

                            Hi Harry,

I guess the only reason is that if Sunday makes a higher high or lower low than Friday, or has a different close, Monday's pivots would not take this into account. I can understand you adding Sunday to Monday, but I have always added Sunday to Friday so that Mondays Pivots are more accurate as the session immediately previous is taken into account.

                              Harry,

Unless other people strongly agree with my comments, I would leave the indicator the way it is. I can see the logic to your design and think you have done a great job with it, so I will happily use the pivots the way are.

                              Thanks again.

                                Harry

Thanks a lot for this indicator. I've been having problems with the session break. I am using ES and the session breaks ends at 16:55. I've been trying to set it up at 00:00 on "user deined values" at the session break but it's cutting at 16:55

                                I am doing something wrong??

Thanks a lot for your help
