atr problem

I think there is something wrong with my atr indicator. I've set my atr similar to the way as in atlas line dot com, but my atr readings are NEVER above 1.0, instead I get 0.195, 0.4 etc, I use the ES 5 min chart, but can't get the same readings, can anyone help? Can't find another atr to download.

Doug, unfortunately we would not be familiar with the way the custom ATR you cited would be calculated internally. Could it be a multiplier or different length is used?

it's not a custom atr, it's just a regular atr set at 4, on a 5 minute es chart. my numbers NEVER get above 1.0. I think awhile ago when I downloaded the supertrend indicator here at the forum, it updated the atr. I would like to see if I can download an original atr, one that hasn't been changed that comes original from ninja

Doug, attached is the original ATR as shipped in most recent NT7. Feel free to use this to update your local install if it got inadvertently changed.

I'm unable to import the file you sent. I saved it to desktop, but when I go to import it doesn't show up.

You will need to manually save this file under Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\custom\indicator

Once you have saved the file, please go to Tools--> Edit NinjaScript--> indicator--> open the ATR and right click on the code select "Compile".
