Paint it Back

Here's a really simple indicator, that may be of interest to those who want some serious visual confirmation of what's happening with smoothed price action. It is designed to prevent trading in choppy areas.

It paints the background of either the price window or another indicator window green if the 3 period VMA is above the 9 period, and the 9 is above the 18 period and all three are rising. If the opposite is true it paints the background red.

Discusion

Given the nature of the VMA to remain flat in non-trending conditions, perhaps someone could add "SLOPE" criteria, to further pinpoint trend, and avoid chop.
